For shipped orders: PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST 7-10 DAYS TO RECEIVE A PACKAGE AND 3 DAYS TO RECEIVE A CODE. Every order must go through the register system in store, therefore there are NO instantaneous codes. Do NOT place an order if you need a code right away. Try jjc.redshelf.com, our e-book partner’s site that takes credit cards only. The JJC Bookstore does not process orders Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. No orders are processed between 3pm and 8am the following day Monday through Thursday.

In-Person Service

The JJC Bookstore will continue to service the bulk of our sales online. We strongly encourage all students  to place an online order by August 10 for all items in stock to avoid long waits.

On August 3, 2020, the Bookstore will open to the public, but with limited capacity. Due to COVID-19, up to 24 customers will be allowed in the store at one time. Please do not expect to be serviced immediately and longer wait times are to be expected. Customers must wear a face covering over their mouth and nose in order to be permitted to enter the Bookstore. The JJC Bookstore has our customers' and employees' safety in mind. Students must have their schedule available as a printed copy or on their mobile device, in order to find required course materials. A photo ID will be required for all financial aid and job grant purchases. The JJC Bookstore will also process rental returns, refunds and exchanges, at the refund window. Please have a photo ID ready for all Fall refunds and our usual refund policies apply. Our full refund policy is available on the Customer Service link. Buyback will continue to be virtual, please see below.

On August 3rd, the JJC Bookstore will also allow limited spots of curb-side pick-up to be scheduled for online orders. Customers will use the circle drive located to the right of Building A at Main Campus. Please enter the drive from the right side of the loop and pull up to designated lawn sign. Please have your order number ready. To expedite service, consider writing the order number down on a piece of paper in large numbers so that it can be seen from a distance to allow staff to take less time to service customers. The order will only be released to the name listed as the pick-up contact on the order, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please bring an ID to confirm identity. The JJC Bookstore has our customers' and employees' safety in mind. Customers must wear a face covering over their mouth and nose when within 6 feet of a JJC bookstore employee. If the order is not picked up at the designated time, it will be shipped out without notice, NO EXCEPTIONS. You will be expected to confirm the contents and sign for the order. Once the order is released the JJC Bookstore is not responsible for missing or damaged items and will not issue refunds or adjustments, NO EXCEPTIONS.

On August 3rd, the JJC Bookstore will also allow in-store pick at the Romeoville Campus for online orders only. There will not be any additional product to purchase at the Romeoville location. The JJC Bookstore at Romeoville will also process rental returns, refunds and exchanges, at the refund window. The JJC Bookstore has our customers' and employees' safety in mind. Customers must wear a face covering over their mouth and nose in order to be permitted to enter the Bookstore due to the confined space. Textbook Rentals

 

Summer 2020 textbook rentals are due August 6, 2020. Please properly identify your book and use the book return bin outside the entrance of Building A-Main Campus Center. You can identify your rental by tucking a copy of your rental reminder email, or the JJC Bookstore rental postcard, snugly into the book for proper check-in. You may also write your full name and contact email on a piece paper if the reminder email and postcard are not available for use. For students who are unable to come to campus, you may mail the rental book back to JJC Bookstore, Rm A-1012, 1215 Houbolt Road, Joliet, IL 60431. Please mail out the rental by August 6, 2020. Any rental books not returned by, or not properly identified, by August 9, 2020 will be charged to the credit card on file and will include additional charges including a $10 late fee per rental, sales tax, and the difference between the retail price minus the original rental charge.

Fall 2020 textbook rentals will be due back December 11, 2020. Please check back for any changes to the rental return process for Fall.

 

Course Materials

 

Fall 2020 course materials are now available. The JJC Bookstore will continue to operate as an online shop.  There is a limited amount of spots for pre-paid curb-side pick-up at Main Campus and pre-paid pick-up at the Romeoville Campus Bookstore. For items in stock, please place your order by August 10, 2020 to allow for the 7-10 days to process and ship for the start of class. Please note the Bookstore is receiving large shipments from publishers in the next 2 weeks. Do not contact the Bookstore for out of stock items until after August 14, simply check back at a later time to place your order. Ordering from bookstore.jjc.edu does not result in instantaneous access. All orders must go through the register system in store and even access codes may take at least 3 days to be emailed to you. For instantaneous access to select publisher codes and e-books using a credit card, visit our e-book partner, Redshelf, at jjc.redshelf.com.

 

Please place you orders at bookstore.jjc.edu. The JJC Bookstore accepts financial aid, job grants/vouchers, checks, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) as payment. Please carefully review order options and terms and conditions when placing your order.  Our textbook look-up tool at bookstore.jjc.edu/college will allow you to view prices and format choices for your materials before purchasing. You may also compare JJC prices with other online retailers by using our free online comparison tool at jjc.verbacompare.com. For students who prefer e-books, browse our digital partner’s fall e-book store jjc.redshelf.com. E-books can save students up to 60% off retail print prices.

Book Buy Back

 

Buyback will be conducted online through August 31, 2020, or later should circumstances require us to do so.

While we do not have an extensive list of possible websites, we do have links to our wholesale partners at jjcbookstore.valorebooks.com, nebook.com/virtualsellback and onlinebuyback.mbsbooks.com. The JJC Bookstore is not operating these third-party sites and is not responsible for transactions completed including rental books accidently sold at virtual buyback. 

 

Refund Policy

 

Our full refund policy is available on the Customer Service link. As a customer, you can process a refund request using email and the rental return bin outside Building A at Main Campus should you choose not come into the store.  The JJC Bookstore can verify eligibility and discuss steps to complete the refund. You may email bookstore@jjc.edu with the ISBN/SKU and title/name of the item in question along with the purchase date. Please include the Course number and section if the item is a course material. Once you have permission for the refund, any materials dropped in the rental return for a refund must be identified with a receipt and/or a copy of the email giving permission for the refund.
